Culture and Education

Representing the Ministry of Education in Taiwan, the mission of the Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Canada is to promote cultural and academic relationships between Taiwan and the eastern part of Canada.

This office serves as a bridge between the academic communities of our two nations. We administer scholarships and research grants for Canadian students as well as for scholars who wish to go to Taiwan to study or conduct research. We provide information and services to Taiwanese students and scholars studying in Canadian institutions or visiting Canada.

Introducing Taiwanese culture and arts to the Canadian people is also an important mandate of this office. In partnership with government agencies or local communities, we hold events such as arts exhibits, dances, concerts and conferences.
